About the journal «Food Science and Technology»

Since 2014 our magazine is published on the basis of the Open Journal Systems platform Open Journal Systems (OJS) which provides processes of editorial completion, publications and after printing support. Till December 31, 2014 articles can be submitted as e-mail and through the OJS platform, previously having registered as the user there. Since January 1, 2015 materials in the publication will be accepted only by means of the Open Journal Systems platform.

Open Access Journal: We define open access journals as journals that does not charge readers or their institutions for access. From the BOAI definition of "open access": "By 'open access' to this literature, we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited."

The scientific and practical journal «Food Science and Technology» is issued from 2007 by the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies and is registered by Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 16 May 2007 (the Certificate: Серия КВ № 12578-1462ПР).

The «Food Science and Technology» journal is included in the list of specialized professional publications, in which results of master's and doctoral dissertations can be published (Journal 'Food Science and Technology' has become academic editions of Ukraine in the field of technical sciences according to the list number № 21 в Бюллетене ВАК Украины № 6 от 2008).

Journal assigned to International number of scientific periodicals ISSN 2073-8684.

The «Food Science and Technology» edition opens possibility of association of variou s categories of readers with scientists, teachers, students and experts in the field of production, storage, use of foodstuff, their merchandising assessment, safety control, etc.

Journal «Food Science and Technology» is open for access to the main-Manual discharge Library of Ukraine – National Library of Ukraine. Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (

Frequency of the edition – 1 time in three months.

Articles are published in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
